CESBA Conference 2017: Call for presenters

CESBA invites interested parties to submit a workshop proposal for the CESBA Conference 2017, to be held November 30 to December 1, 2017 in Toronto. Our theme this year is “Paths to Success: Improving Learner Options and Pathways” and will feature three conference streams:

1) New Technologies
2) Service Coordination/Pathway Planning
3) Strategic Planning and Program Development

Please submit all proposals using the online submission form. The deadline for submissions is Friday, May 26, 2017.

Conférence de CESBA 2017 : Appel de présentatrices et présentateurs

CESBA invite les personnes intéressées à soumettre un projet d’atelier pour la Conférence de CESBA 2017, qui aura lieu du 30 novembre au 1er décembre 2017 à Toronto. La conférence, intitulée « Vers la réussite : Améliorer les options et les itinéraires des apprenants », comprendra des ateliers sur trois thèmes :

1) Nouvelles technologies
2) Coordination des services/planification des itinéraires
3) Planification stratégique et élaboration des programmes

Vous pouvez soumettre une proposition au moyen du formulaire en ligne. La date limite pour soumettre les propositions est le vendredi 26 mai 2017.

EXPLORING LEARNER PATHWAYS: Meeting at the LBS/ESL Intersections – Final Report

The Metro Toronto Movement for Literacy’s (MTML’s) Exploring Learning Pathways: Meeting at the LBS/ESL Intersections project researched the learning pathways and needs of Anglophone-stream low-level Literacy and Basic Skills (LBS) learners whose mother tongue or primary language is other than English. The project sought to contribute valuable front-line information and insights that aim to fortify a vital adult education priority identified by all three Ontario ‘learning ministries’, strengthening the coordination of services across the education and training programs serving adult learners in the province.
