CESBA Conference 2022: Call for presenters

Lien vers le français

CESBA invites you to share your expertise!

This year, CESBA is returning to our wonderful, in-person two-day conference in Toronto. The conference will offer learning opportunities to inform and inspire exemplary practice in adult and continuing education across Ontario.

As a potential workshop presenter, you have an opportunity to lead a learning session with educators from across Ontario. To ensure a range of viewpoints and diverse experiences, presenters are encouraged to collaborate on their proposals.

November 23-25, 2022
Chelsea Hotel, Toronto

August 11, 2022 (@11:59 PM) – extended

August 31, 2022

The theme of the 2022 CESBA Conference is Reconnect & Renew, with a focus on the following four sub-themes:

  1. Digital transformation
  2. Mental health and empathy
  3. Equity, inclusion and belonging
  4. Our changing environment

Workshop format

All workshops will be 60 minutes in length and will focus on interactivity, including discussion questions, small group work and Q & A with the audience, rather than a lecture style approach.

What kind of proposals are we looking for?

CESBA is looking for proposals that connect participants and inspire discussion.  We encourage you to share your expertise and experience to:

  • Inspire leadership and cooperation among adult educators and/or students
  • Showcase strategies for designing learning models
  • Present diverse perspectives in response to timely trends and practices in A & CE
  • Encourage a dialogue about current issues and directions that affect adult education today

Basic information

CESBA’s Conference Committee will review workshop submissions in a timely manner. Accepted presenters will be notified via email by September 1, 2022.

Workshop presenters will be asked to sign a presenter agreement to acknowledge their acceptance of the terms and conditions of these guidelines, including permission to post your workshop and materials on the CESBA website.
