PD Day for A&CE Credit Teachers

This professional development day is an exciting opportunity to come together as adult and continuing education (A&CE) credit teachers from across Ontario to share experiences and learn about key themes in A&CE today. We will explore a variety of topics such as mathematics & numeracy; diversity & equity; and supporting mental health wellness & decreasing stigma. Through interactive workshops and discussion based sessions, you’ll leave with new skills and practical ideas to apply to your own A&CE program.

CESBA invites up to three A&CE credit teachers from each school board to attend.

Accommodations

Accommodation will be available at the event venue, the Toronto Hilton Doubletree. If the school board office is more than 100 km away, the cost of accommodation on April 1st will be partially covered. If the school board office is less than 100 km away, there is no funding available for accommodation. Rooms must be booked by March 23rd in order to receive the per night rate of $149 plus tax. Please refer to CESBA’s expense form for further details.

Funding is available to cover only a PARTIAL cost of the travel, accommodation and meals for attendees. Please refer to the expense claim form for details:

There is limited space at the event venue and limited access to the hotel room block booking. Please register for the event no later than March 26, 2019, and reserve your hotel room no later than March 23, 2019.

Travel Subsidies

We understand that travel costs from some parts of the province can make attendance prohibitive given CESBA’s new limits on travel reimbursement. For those participants travelling more than 425km please contact Hillary Arnold at harnold@cesba.com, provide a travel cost estimate and we will work together to determine the level of support CESBA can provide.

CESBA also has limited fund to contribute to staff replacement funding. Please contact us if you need replacement funds for your teaching staff to attend this PD event.

Rooms can be booked at the special event rate of $149/night at the Doubletree by Hilton, which is directly across the street from the Chestnut Conference Centre. CESBA will reimburse up to $125 for accommodations. Please reserve your hotel room by January 15. Book your room here*

Travel Reimbursement

CESBA will reimburse all participants up to $250 for round-trip travel to the meeting. Please use the expense form to submit your expenses for reimbursement.
