Ministries seeking feedback on consultation paper “Strengthening Ontario’s Adult Education System”

The Ministries of Advanced Education and Skills Development, Education, and Citizenship and Immigration recently released a consultation paper Strengthening Ontario’s Adult Education System.

The CESBA Board and staff will be gathering feedback on the 27 questions listed in the document via a bilingual online survey in order to help prepare and submit a formal response to the paper. The deadline to send your feedback to CESBA via the survey is Monday, January 15, 2018 at 4:00 p.m.

We also encourage boards to send their feedback directly to MAESD, in addition to our survey. Individual feedback can be sent to lifelonglearning@ontario.ca.The deadline to provide feedback to MAESD is January 31, 2018.

Thank you in advance for your ideas to help improve adult and continuing education in Ontario.

CESBA launches its new website!

CESBA is proud to announce the launch of its new website at www.cesba.com! The newly redesigned and updated site includes streamlined menus, simplified navigation and improved search-ability. It is also fully responsive, making it easy to navigate on a wide range of web browsers and mobile devices.

We’ve improved the structure of our content with clear messaging of who we are and what we do, as well as with easy-to-find information about our work in the school board-lead adult and continuing education sector. The improved menu functionality and sidebar menus direct users to information most relevant to them.

The new website gives quicker access to information on the About Us, News and Events pages. The new Our Work page lists our current projects and houses information and resources related to sector-specific initiatives such as LBS and PLAR for Mature Students. The upated Events page is now fully searchable by type of event, and each event has a link to its own page.

In addition, our easy-to-search Resource Library, carried over from our previous site, is host to hundreds of documents such as reports, tools, templates, manuals, presentations, webinars and guidelines designed to help you in your work.

Information about membership and Board of Directors log in are now easy to locate on the masthead.

We will be regularly updating our content with helpful information, important news and announcements in the News section. We will continue to expand our resources and the Our Work pages to deliver the most up-to-date and relevant information for adult and continuing education professionals.

We hope that you enjoy our new site and we encourage you to explore our wealth of resources.. If you have questions, comments or suggestions, please send them to bhowlett@cesba.com.
